Imagine Children's Museum, Everett, WA -- December 8, 2007
Wherein we play a huge Christmas party for about a bazillion excited kids (and their parents).
We're rockin' the kids hard!
Note that Thad and I are sharing the same microphone. Further, with the exception of an amp for the bass, that little unit in front of us is the only sound system we used.
Here's a bit better view of the sound setup.
Looks like Dean is blowing one of his awesome 'mouth trumpet' solos... while still keeping that good bottom end going!
We had a heck of a traffic pattern coming from that cavelike room to the right and even more from the left of Dean because that's where the entrance to the 'jet' behind us is located.
Here Thad has switched off to his trademark instrument, the bass trombone. Lots of great sounds when he's working the Harmon mute!
Hobbit is howlin' away, as usual!
The gig was split into two parts. The first was upstairs in the museum and that's where the preceding four pics were snapped. The last part was downstairs where we were merely the 'house band' so that the storyteller and assembled kids could sing carols.
Here we're in the midst of the story with an elf and a polar bear. I believe that the polar bear was about to go crowd into an already immensely crowded mitten, misplaced by a kitten.
Apparently Hobbit is the only one oblivious to whatever is taking place in the upper left. But that's nothing out of the ordinary.
Santa and Mrs. Santa arrive! This pretty much rounds out any party, don't you think?
Special thanks to the lovely Ms Zenobia for her photographic efforts!
